I am a PhD researcher in Computer Vision at Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, focusing on Visual Language Foundational Models (VLMs) for image, video, 3D, and 4D generation and perception.
I am the first author of “3D-CoMPaT,” presented orally at ECCV, and the primary author of the highly cited NeurIPS paper “PointNeXt” (over 710 citations). My recent work “Exploring Scaling Laws of PointNets” received a Spotlight Talk at 3DV 2025.
I have served as a core organizer of a CVPR workshop and have reviewed submissions for top-tier AI conferences, including TPAMI, CVPR, ICCV, and NeurIPS. Additionally, I am a key open-source contributor to Apache RocketMQ, a high-performance distributed messaging platform.
Currently, I’m working as a Research Intern at Sony AI Research, focusing on music-driven diffusion-based generative AI models for synchronized human dance movements.

Yuchen Li’s research is at the cutting edge of AI, deep learning, and 3D vision. As the first author of “3D-CoMPaT” (presented orally at ECCV) and the first author of the highly cited NeurIPS paper “PointNeXt” (with over 710 citations), his work demonstrates a strong commitment to advancing 3D content generation and perception. His expertise spans Visual Language Foundational Models (VLMs) for image, video, 3D, and 4D generation, as well as innovative approaches using diffusion models and 3D Gaussian segmentation to create realistic, high-quality 3D content.
In addition to his research, Yuchen has played key roles as a core organizer of a CVPR workshop and as a reviewer for prestigious conferences such as TPAMI, CVPR, ICCV, and NeurIPS. He is also an active open-source contributor to Apache RocketMQ, a high-performance distributed messaging platform.
Currently, during his internship at Sony Research Institute, Yuchen is exploring the intersection of AI and the creative arts through projects like music-driven human dance generation. His work not only pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in 3D content creation but also aims to enhance its applicability across various industries.
